A grand adventure may have a humble beginning, and so it was with The Edge. They were just four guys singing a tag at a Masters of Harmony rehearsal in April 2008, when some listeners helped them realize that they had something very special. Their first competition was at the barbershop international preliminary competition in March 2009, where they qualified for the international contest their first time out. Imagine their shock when they placed 16th in the world. What an improvement from just barely qualifying (seeded 40th) to placing 16th. They followed up that surprise showing in October 2009, when they won their very first District competition to be named the Far Western District Champions, representing the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, & Southern Utah.

    While they are a relatively new quartet, individually they have many years of experience singing close harmony as well as other forms of music that have allowed them to shine as one of the bright new stars of West Coast Barbershop.
