ringmasters
Formed in 2006, Sweden’s Ringmasters are one of the most exciting foursomes on the a cappella scene. Inspired by groups like Take 6 and the Beatles, Ringmasters stress the point that practicing all different genres of music is highly important to their repertoire. After singing together for only five months, the group managed to place 3rd in the Nordic Barbershop Tournament during 2007. In October 2007, Ringmasters won the international barbershop tournament in Cork, Ireland.
Since its formation in the 1980s, representatives from the Swedish barbershop organization have been climbing the ranks of international competition. Ringmasters took a great step forward for their country when they won the International Collegiate Championship in 2008. But in 2009 they far exceeded their own accomplishments and the dreams of their countrymen when they competed at the international quartet contest and won fourth place, an unprecedented achievement for a non-American quartet.
Their immediate and ongoing successes have made Ringmasters a well-known name in Sweden, Ireland, and the U.S. True patriots, their goal is nothing less than putting Sweden on the international a cappella map!
